Winter Week 4
The week of Margaux,Elaya et Alix
Michelle woke us at 8.30 a.m. We went down to take our breakfast, we ate toast and hot drinks. We dressed up for our horse riding lesson. We started by brushing Annie and Benson then we went to the paddock to get Harry, Broke and Jamy. For the horse riding lesson, we were separated into two groups. The first group was Elaya and Alix and the second was Margaux. The first group prepared Broke and Jamy for her lesson while Margaux brushed George, Archi and Zulu. During the first group lesson we started by walking then trotting in the horse riding arena then we went to the riding clearing and we did the riding figure called serpentine and diagonals. And to finish the class, we walked around the castle. After that, we changed : Margaux prepared Annie for her horse riding lesson . During Margaux’s lesson, Alix and Elaya cleaned and brushed Brooke and Jamie again. After giving them their lunch, we took them to the paddock. During Margaux’s lesson, she started by trotting, then she galloped and did serpentine.After brushing Annie we had two croque monsieur for lunch. After we took a rest and our clothes then we began our English class. Once we finished our english class, we made our bags to go to the swimming pool. We took the car for 40 minutes and arrived at the pool. We enjoyed the swimming pool during 1h20 then took our shower there. We went home to do the blog. We will have dinner with Grace and Michelle and finish the movie Benji then go to bed. It was our first day.
Today we woke up at the same time as yesterday and we had our breakfast. We went back up to get dressed and went to the stable. We started by brushing Brooke and Jamie then Archie and Zulu. Today Margaux did her lesson first and during this time Elaya and Alix started a new activity : horseshoe painting. In her lesson, Margaux was with Annie. She trotted, gallopped, did ground bars to train her posture for jumping. When Margaux finished her horse riding lesson, we switched groups and Alix, who was riding Jamie and Elaya, who was riding Brooke, had their lesson while Margaux did horseshoe painting. During the lesson they learnt to trot with only one hand on the saddle. When we finished brushing Brooke and Jamie, we had lunch. Alix and Margot ate the same dish as yesterday and Elaya had an egg mayo tomato and salad sandwich. After lunch, we had some free time before our English lesson. During the class, we studied a text about Ariana Grande and answered questions about it then completed the lyrics of two songs : Delicate from Taylor Swift and Dark Horse from Katy Perry and Juicy J. Once the English class was finished we went back to the stable to finish our horseshoe painting and brush Swing and Rory. When we came back home, we had a snack then Elaya and Alix had their shower while Margaux did her homeworks for school. Then, Margaux came upstairs to take her shower and we went down to do the blog. In 5 minutes, we will have dinner with Michelle and Grace then go to sleep.
This morning we got up at 8:45 and went downstairs to take our breakfast : toasts, hot drinks and cereal. We went up to get changed and brushed our teeth. Today we didn’t have horse riding lesson but brushed Albert, George, Zulu and Archie. We changed our shoes and went to the house for our English class. We learnt vocabulary about horse riding equipment and horses body parts. When we finished our English class, we had croque monsieur for lunch then we took a break before getting ready to go to the “Cadre noir”. We took the car for 1 hour to the “Cadre noir” in Saumur to have a guided visit that lasted for 1 hour. We learned about the history of the Cadre noir, saw the horses, the big manege, the different dispositifs for the horses like the solarium, the school jumps, the old saddles etc. When the visit ended, we went to the souvenirs shop and Alix bought a little horse plush then we took the car back to come home. When we arrived, Margot took her shower while Alix and Elaya called their dad then during the time Margot was doing her homeworks, Elaya and Alix took their shower. Then, we went downstairs to do the blog and we are now about to take dinner all together with Michelle and Grace before going to bed.
This morning we got up at 8.15 a.m and went down to take our breakfast then went back up to get our notebooks for our english class. We had oral and writing comprehension about films and wrote about our favourite movie. Once the class was finished we got ready to go to the stable to brush Brook, Jamie and Annie. We didn’t have a lesson but we did a walk with the poneys and Diva. It was very cool because the weather was good and when we finished we brushed the horses again before going to the house to have lunch. We ate croque monsieur. This afternoon we had a lot of free time and we did magnet painting. It was a lot of fun and we are all very proud of what we made. When we finished cleaning up everything Michelle made us a hot chocolate that we ate with pancakes. Then, we went upstairs to take our shower and we went back down to do the blog. Now, we’re about to have dinner with Michelle and Grace, today we will eat burgers. After eating we will maybe watch a movie or play a game, then go to bed.
This morning we woke up at 8:50 and 20 minutes later we had breakfast downstairs. Then, we got dressed and went to the stable and changed our shoes. Alix and Elaya took Brooke and Jamie to get them ready for their lesson while Margaux brushed Annie, George and Benson. During the horse riding lesson, we trotted without holding the saddle and did the serpentine while trotting. During Margaux’s lesson, she trotted, gallopped, and jumped. Meanwhile, Elaya and Alix made sure all the brushes boxes were complete and cleaned the brushes. When we went back home, we had lunch then went upstairs to take our shower and prepared our bags before coming down for our English lesson. During the lesson, we did drama in english : Goldilocks and the three Bullfrogs. Now, we will get ready to go to a pizza restaurant tonight.
