WINTER WEEK 3
The blog of the four crazy
Today we woke up at 8:30 a.m. We dressed up and went downstairs to have our breakfast. After we cleared the table and went upstairs to brush our teeth. After we put our shoes on to go to the stables. To start, we brushed some horses. Marceau and Andrea brushed Archie while Lucie and Salome were brushing Annie. We brought George and Zulu to the paddock and brought back Brooke and Swing to the stables. Then we helped Marceau and Salome to prepare their horses, because they were riding first. Marceau rode Rubix and Salome rode Swing. They worked on half reverse volts and volts. During this time, Lucie and Andrea brushed Jack, which was very dirty, and then Albert. We also washed Albert’s tail with shampoo and conditioner. After all of that, Marceau and Salome had finished their lesson and we helped them to unsaddle their horses. Then it was time for Lucie and Andrea to start their riding lesson, so they prepared Annie and Archie, which they were going to ride. Andrea rode Archie and Lucie rode Annie. They worked on legs session and curved lines. After their lesson they did a little hack around the paddocks before they got down. Later, we fed the horses and ponies but also the chickens. Around 1:30 p.m we had lunch, and we were very hungry. After that we got ready for our english lesson, which was the first for Lucie, Marceau and Salome. They really liked it. We had a little snack after the english lesson and next we took our things to go to the swimming pool, around 5:15 p.m. We had a lot of fun at the swimming pool, and we also went outside even if it was very cold. We played games with a balloon and Lucie lost the game but we forgave her 😂. At 7:30 p.m, it was time to go so we went back home. Now we are about to have dinner and we are all very hungry!
Day 2 – Hack
Today it was raining all day. We woke up at 9:00 a.m, then we got dressed and came downstairs to have our breakfast. After that, because it was raining a lot, we did the english lesson in the morning. We did a lot of activities like listening comprehension or writing comprehension. After that we went outside to brush all the ponies, and some horses, and Lucie and Salome swiped the stables to help Grace. We came back to the house at 1:30 p.m to have lunch, and then we played cards until 3:00 p.m. Then we came to the stables again and we brushed all the horses, but we also washed Archie and Rubix’s tail. Later we went to the house to have our snack in the saloon, with hot chocolate because we were cold. After we all took our shower and had a free time during about 1 hour. During this time, Salome called her parents, Lucie watched a serie, Marceau watched his phone, and Andrea too, but she also read a book for school. Then we came downstairs to play Monopoly with Grace, because she had finished her french lesson. We don’t have finish yet and now we are doing the blog, waiting for dinner, we are going to eat pasta carbonara, and we can’t wait !
Day 3
Today we woke up at 8:35 a.m. We got dressed and went downstairs to have our breakfast. After that we brushed our teeth, and put our shoes on to got the stables, where we started to brush some horses. We washed the bowls of the horses at the shower, and Marceau and Grace took Annie and Alf to the paddock. Then Andrea and Salome brushed Zulu and Swing, and Lucie and Marceau brushed Benson and Buster. Later we all prepared our horses to go on a hack with Grace. It was very sunny, but a little windy. Marceau rode Buster, Lucie rode Swing, Salome rode Brooke, Andrea rode Zulu, and finally Grace rode Albert. The hack lasted between one hour and a half and two hours. When we went back home, we unsaddled the horses and went to the house to have our lunch. For this lunch, Salome tried a tuna mild sandwich and she likes it, but she said that she preferred egg mayo sandwiches. After that we changed our clothes to be more comfortable, and had a little break. Then we went downstairs to do some painting on magnets. Lucie’s magnets are the most beautiful in our opinion, she has a talent for painting. After that, we had a snack, then we washed the things that we used for the painting. After we had our english lesson, where we practiced our oral skills for the play. Later, we went upstairs to have our shower. During this time, Salome called her parents and Lucie watched a series, while Andrea was reading a book, and Marceau was studying for the play. Now we are writing the blog and we are waiting for dinner, we are going to eat hamburgers. We are so happy, it was a great day !
Day 4
Today we woke up a little earlier because we were going to see a show at The Cadre Noir de Saumur, which was beginning at 10:30 a.m. So, we woke up at 7:30 a.m, we dressed up, then came downstairs to have our breakfast. After that we brushed our teeth and got prepared to go to Saumur. When we were ready, we left the house and took the car to go to Saumur. We drove for one hour. Then we found our places for the show and waited for it to start. The show lasted around one hour and a half. It was amazing, we liked it a lot and it was the first time for most of us that we came to The Cadre Noir. After the show, we went to the shop, and Lucie, Salome and Andrea bought some memories. Then we took the car again to go back home. When we arrived, we had our lunch, and then a little break, during which Andrea played piano, Lucie watched her series, while Salome was watching her phone, as Marceau. Then we had our English lesson. It was very cool because we listened to music. After that we had our snack quickly, and then we changed our clothes to be able to go to the stables after. There we brushed all the ponies. Marceau and Andrea brushed Swing, Brooke and Jamie, Salome and Lucie brushed Rory and Buster. Then we prepared Rory to learn how to do long rein. First, Grace showed us how to do, and then we all tried once each our turn. It was very cool to discover this new discipline. To finish this lesson, we have installed a little jump, and Rory jumped it very well. It was the first time for him to do that with long reins, but he was exemplary, as usual. After the lesson, we washed his legs and his tail, and brushed him. After that, because he has been very kind, we gave him some sugar and a lot of carrots. Then we said good night to all the horses and ponies, and came back to the house. Now we are going to take our shower and have dinner after. It was a great and sunny day !
Day 5
Today we woke up at 8:30 a.m, we got dressed and we came downstairs to have our breakfast.Then we brushed our teeth and went to the stables. We changed our shoes, and after that we changed the rugs of all the ponies except Swing because he was going to be ridden later. After that we took Harry, Jamie and Brooke to the paddock, and Salome and Marceau brought Buster and Rory to their paddock too. Next, Salome and Lucie brushed Annie after her lesson while Andrea and Marceau were brushing Rubix at the shower. After that Salome and Lucie brushed and prepared Swing as Andrea was preparing Zulu, and Marceau Rubix. For one, we rode together. Lucie rode Swing, Salome rode Annie, Marceau rode Rubix and Andrea rode Zulu. In this lesson, we did some ground poles. After the lesson we did a little hack around the arena, before we unsaddled all the horses. Then we brushed them again, and gave all of them a shower. Because all the horses were very kind, we gave them some sugar and carrots. Then Andrea took Zulu to the paddock and she also brought back Albert to his stable. During this time Lucie and Salome fed the horses and ponies, just before changing their shoes. Then we went to the house to have our lunch. After we finished eating, we had a little break, as usual. During this time Andrea and Marceau played cards, and Lucie and Salome watched their phones. Then we had our english lesson, we worked on the parts of the horse’s body, and on their equipment. Just after the lesson Marceau’s parents arrived and he left. Now we are writing the blog, and we are going to take our shower, just before going to restaurant.
