Summer Blog Week 5
Monday :
Today we woke up at 07:55 a.m. We dressed up and went downstairs to have our breakfast. Then we went back upstairs to brush our teeth. At the same time, Maelia arrived. We showed her the bedroom and the bathroom. Around 9:30 a.m, we went to the stables. We change our trainers to boots. Grace told us which horses we had to brush. Anne-Sophie, Marie and Ella brushed and prepared George for the lesson. Laurine, Appoline and Maelia brushed Annie. Andrea, Flora and Elsa prepared Archie. For the first riding lesson, Andrea, Anne-Sophie and Laurine rode Archie, George and Annie. While the girls were riding, the others brushed all the horses and did some painting. Afterwards, it was time for the second lesson, Ella rode George, Appoline rode Annie and Maelia rode Zulu. Unfortunately, it started during the lesson so everybody was wet at the end. For the third lesson, Elsa rode Zulu and Marie rode Rubix. During this time, Flora went in the round with Louana and Buster and then she got to do a lesson without the lounge in the arena with Grace. Maelia and Appoline fed the horses and everybody cleaned the saddles and bridles.
Around 1:30 p.m, we went back to the house for lunch. We ate sandwiches, fruits and biscuits. We had free time upstairs for 30 minutes.
At 2:30 p.m, Ella, Andrea and Appoline started their English lesson with Michelle in the dining room and Maelia, Elsa, Anne-Sophie, Flora, Marie and Laurine did their English lesson at the table outside with Grace. Michelle’s group worked on Scotland and Grace’s group did exercises about the present and the past of the verb BE. They had to go back inside because of the wind so Michelle’s group moved to the saloon. Then, we all had a snack outside and waited for Michelle and Grace to go to the swimming pool. The car ride lasted around 30 minutes. We stayed half an hour at the pool and some of the girls played with the ball while the others talked in the jacuzzi. We got back to the house by car and Ella and Appoline fell asleep. Right now, we are writing the blog and Laurine and Marie are doing their theory lesson inside with Grace.
Tonight we are eating spaghetti bolognese that Michelle cooked.
Tuesday:
Today, Grace came to wake us up at 8:00 a.m. We got dressed and went downstairs to have some toasts and cereal for breakfast. Afterwards, we went back upstairs to brush our teeth and to finish preparing. We put our trainers on and headed to the stables. We started to brush the horses of the first riding lesson : Laurine, Maelia and Appoline brushed Annie, Ella, Anne-Sophie and Elsa brushed George and Andrea brushed Archie while the other girls were getting the horses from the paddock. So for the first lesson, there were Andrea, Laurine and Anne-Sophie riding. In the stables, we brushed most of the horses. Then, it was time for the second riding lesson so we all helped each other to tack up the horses. Ella rode Rubix, Maelia rode George for the first time and Appoline rode Annie. Afterwards, the second group got down from their horses, refreshed the horses and cleaned the bridles and saddles. The third group started their lesson, Elsa rode Zulu, Marie rode Rubix and Louana was also here with Swing. While they were riding, Appoline and Ella took Flora and Buster for a little walk. Michelle did the first part of Flora’s lesson in the round of lounge and Grace did the second part in the arena. And at the end, Flora even countered for the first time in the round !! It was time to feed the horses so Appoline and Laurine volunteered to do it. We also did some horse shoe painting and then went back to the house. We had a five minute break before lunch and ate our sandwiches. Afterwards, we stayed in the bedroom for around thirty minutes. We all had our English lesson together outside and worked on horses. We then had a little snack as usual. We returned to the stables in the afternoon and took care of the horses. Appoline, Maelia and Ella washed Jamie’s tail. Andrea, Marie and Laurine brushed Annie and Rory, Flora, Elsa and Anne-Sophie brushed Zulu and Rubix. As this morning, we continued painting horseshoes but unfortunately, the man with more horseshoes didn’t come. Marie and Laurine had one more riding lesson with Grace for their galop 4. We fed the horses. We helped Pauline to take the horses to the paddock. Some of the girls stayed at the stables to film Laurine with Annie and Marie with Zulu. The others went back to the house to start to take their showers. The other girls joined us in the bedroom and now we are writing the blog while Marie and Laurine are doing their theory lesson.
Wednesday :
Today, there were no riding lessons so we could sleep as we wanted. Andrea and Maelia woke up first, around 7:30 a.m. so they went to the stables to help Grace with the ponies and horses. In a second time, Elsa, Anne-Sophie, Laurine and Marie woke up around 8:30 a.m. and had their breakfast. Ella, Appoline and Flora stayed in the bedroom to have some sleep until 10:00 a.m. While they were sleeping, Maelia and Andrea brushed all the horses and later Anne Sophie, Elsa,Laurine and Marie brushed them again. During this time, Maelia and Andrea cleaned the saddles and bridles. Everybody swept the floor of the stables.Then, we went back to the house and took our books for the English lesson. We went downstairs for the lesson with Grace. We worked on the body parts and the equipment of the horse.Afterwards we went back in the room to put our things away. Then we had our lunch, we ate sandwiches like every day. Then, we had a freetime of 45 min and at 2:30 p.m, we went to Michelle and Grace’s friends. We did some bookmarks.
At 4:30 p.m, we had a break to have our snack. We ate biscuits and peach syrup. After that, we played football, there were two teams. In the first team, there were Maelia, Marie, Appoline, Ella and Jules and in the second team, there were Laurine, Andrea, Anne-Sophie, Flora and Steve. After the football match, some of the girls played table tennis. At 6;30 p.m, Grace and Michelle came back to get us back home. Right now, we are writing the blog while some of the girls are taking their showers and Laurine and Marie are doing their theory lesson.
After the blog and the dinner, we will watch a film before going to bed.
Thursday :
Today, Michelle came to wake us up at 8:20 a.m. but some of us were already up. We got dressed in 10 minutes and went downstairs to have some breakfast. We ate toast and brioche. We went back upstairs, brushed our teeth and waited for Grace to come back from Stanley’s vet appointment. We went to the stables around 10 a.m. and started preparing the horses for the first riding lesson. Andrea, Elsa and Flora brushed George. Appoline and Marie brushed Annie. Anne-Sophie and Laurine brushed Zulu. Ella and Maelia brushed Benson. For the first riding lesson, Laurine rode Rubix, Marie rode Annie and Andrea rode George. It was a jumping lesson while Laurine and Marie passed their galop 4, so Andrea and Marie started and then Laurine. Marie and Laurine jumped for their galop 4 and they both did really well. During this time, we all brushed the horses and filled the bags of hay. Afterwards, for the second riding lesson, Maelia rode Annie, Ella rode George and Appoline rode Zulu. They did poles and at the same time, Flora had a walk with Buster and the girls and had her riding lesson with Michelle in the round of lounge. For the third lesson, Anne-Sophie rode Rubix and Elsa rode Zulu. Then, we refreshed the horses, changed our shoes and headed to the house for lunch. As usual, we ate sandwiches, crisps, fruits and biscuits. After eating, we had a long break of about an hour. At 4:00 p.m. we all had our English lesson with Grace. Laurine, Marie, Anne-Sophie, Elsa, Flora, Maelia worked on Ariana Grande and Andrea, Ella, Appoline worked on the translation of the reprise of club 2. Then, we all filled the gasps of a song by Katie Perry. Afterwards, we celebrated Marie’s birthday with a cake and some presents. She was very happy. We all went quickly to the stables to take the horses to the paddocks for the night. After that, we went back to the house to write the blog and take our showers. A bit later, Laurine and Marie will have their theory exam. To finish the day, we will eat some burgers made by Michelle and we will go to bed.
Friday :
Today, Grace came to wake us at 8:00 a.m. We got dressed. At 8:15 a.m. We had our breakfast, then we brushed our teeth and we went to the stables at 9:00 a.m. It was already very hot. We prepared the horses for the first riding lesson : Marie and Appoline brushed Swing, Maelia and Ella brushed Annie, Andrea Laurine and Flora brushed George, Anne-Sophie and Elsa brushed Rubix. After that Maelia rode Annie and Elsa rode Rubix and Appoline rode Swing. It was a jumping lesson. During this, the other girls brushed the last horses : Ella and Marie brushed Zulu and Harry, Flora, Laurine and Anne-Sophie brushed Benson and Jack. For the second lesson, Ella rode Rubix and Anne-Sophie rode Swing, it was a jumping lesson too. At this time, the girls prepared Buster, brushed the lat horses and ponies, cleaned the brushes and they continued their horseshoes. For the third lesson, Andrea rode George, Laurine rode Annie and Marie rode Zulu. Laurine and Marie did their flat test for their galop 4. During this, the girls watched Laurine and Marie and continued their horseshoes. Finally, Flora rode Buster as usual and she did canter.
Around 2:00 p.m, we went back home and had our lunch. We ate sandwiches.
After that, we had a 30 minute break. We did our suitcase for tomorrow.
At 4:00, we went to the lake. We had a lot of fun. We did some paddle and some kayak, then we went to Bouncy castle.
When the bouncy castle closed, we had to do a drama, we were separated into two groups : the first group was composed of Maelia, Ella, Flora, Laurine and Andrea, they did a play named LITTLE LATE RIDING HOOD and the second group was composed of Marie, Appoline, Elsa and Anne-Sophie, they did a play named THE POPSICLE BOY.
We played it to Michelle, Grace, Gersti, Steve and Jules. It was very funny.
After the two dramas, we had our dinner, we ate a lot of different things. It was very good. For dessert, we had some cakes and some candies.
Then, we went to the swings and we played football with all of the girls, Jules and Quentin.
After 20 minutes, Grace came to tell us that we had to go back home. So, now, we are writing the blog while some of the girls are taking their showers. Then we will go to bed and tomorrow, everybody will go back to their house 😣.
