Summer Blog Week 4
Monday
Today was our first day. This morning, we woke up around 7:45 a.m. We dressed up in riding clothes and then we went downstairs to have our breakfast. We enjoyed eating pink brioche, it was very good. We went back upstairs to brush our teeth and to get ready. We all waited for Grace while playing with the dogs. They were very excited to go to the stables as us. So we went there and put on our boots. Michelle and Grace told us which horse we could brush. Heloise and Appoline brushed the gorgeous Zulu, Ella and Chloe brushed Brooke, Flora and Andrea brushed George, finally Laurine and Emilie brushed Swing. Three of us got ready for their first riding lesson. Heloise discovered Zulu, Emilie discovered Archie and Andrea was happy to ride George just as last year. During this lesson, we helped in the stables and we finished brushing the horses. For the second riding lesson, Laurine rode Swing for the first time and Chloe rode Brooke also for the first time. They really enjoyed their lesson. Michelle and Emilie gave her first lesson to Flora on Buster, she had a very good time. And for the last riding lesson, Ella rode Rubix and Appoline had the opportunity to ride Annie again.
We were very hungry so we had lunch and we ate our sandwiches. Then, we took a little break in the bedroom. At 2:45 p.m. we had our English lesson, Laurine, Chloe and Flora were with Grace outside doing exercises. And Ella, Emilie, Andrea, Heloise and Appoline were on the table inside working on a project about the Olympic Games. Afterwards, we got ready quickly to head to the swimming pool. But just before, we had a snack of course. At the pool, we had fun in the different slides, we played and we chatted a lot. Around 7:30 p.m. we each took a shower and got dressed up. We went back to the house. We are currently writing the blog and looking forward to eat Michelle’s lasagnas.
Tuesday
Today, Michelle came to wake us up around 8:20.We dressed up so we could go downstairs. Then, we had breakfast and we ate pink brioche again. During the breakfast, Marie arrived. So we all went back upstairs to show her the bedroom. We brushed our teeths. After we put our trainers on and went to the stables. As usual we started brushing the horses. Chloe and Appoline put their hat on and tacked up Rory and Annie. They did leg yield. They were very happy about their riding lesson.For the second lesson, Emilie rode Archie, Andrea rode George and Eloise rode Zulu. They moved the hanches of their horses. Then Marie, Laurine and Ella rode Zulu, Rubix and George. They did leg yield too. During this time, Flora rode Rubix in the round of loin. After the riding lessons we brushed and we showered the horses. Then we ate our sandwiches. We had 30 minutes of free time.
After, we came down stairs for our english lesson : Appoline, Ella, Heloise, Andrea and Emilie have continued their project ; Chloe, Marie, Flora and Laurine have done exercises with Grace and Michelle. Later, we had a little snack before returning to the stables to wash different horses. First we washed Buster, then we did George and finally we washed Swing.
During this time, Andrea and Heloise helped Grace who was teaching to two young riders. Some of the girls continued painting their horse shoes that they started this morning. Ella, Chloe, Andrea, Emilie, Laurine and Appoline took Buster, Annie, Jamie, Rory, Brooke, Zulu, George, Swing… to the paddock helped by Lou-Anna. We saw Quentin help Michelle with the arena. To end the day, we went back to the house and now we are writing the blog while some of the girls are taking their showers.
Wednesday
Today, Laurine,Andrea and Emilie woke up at 8.30 a.m, they dressed up, took their breakfast and they went to the stables. The other girls woke up at 9:45 am, they took their breakfast around 10:30 a.m. Then stayed upstairs to chat. At 12:00, it was time for our English lesson. Andrea, Appoline, Emilie, Ella and Heloise continued their project about the Olympic Games of 2020 and the other girls had a lesson with Grace about the parts of the horse’s body. At 2.00 p.m. we had our lunch. We ate the sandwiches made by Michelle, we also ate fruits and biscuits. Afterwards, we went upstairs for a little break. At 3.00 p.m, we went to Steve and Kirsty’s house to create birthday and christmas cards. Another boy was there, Jules. We all had a snack and some drinks. We played table tennis and football. Heloise was very good and made her team win. At 6.30 p.m. we left their house after saying goodbye and thank you for welcoming us. We are now writing the blog while the other girls are taking their shower. When everyone has taken a shower, we will eat dinner (carbonara pasta) and watch a movie before going to bed.
Thursday
Today, we woke up at 8:20 a.m, we dressed up and we went downstairs to have our breakfast. We ate some toast and buns. After that, we went back upstairs to brush our teeth and to finish preparing.
Around 9:00 a.m, we headed to the stables. Chloe and Andrea brushed Rory, Ella and Marie brushed Zulu and Rubix, Heloise, Laurine and Flora brushed Benson and George, Appoline and Emilie brushed Annie.
Then, the first group had their riding lesson. It was composed of Appoline and Chloe who rode Annie and Rory. Unfortunately Chloe fell off her horse but she is just fine. During the lesson, the other girls brushed the other horses : Andrea and Emilie brushed Jack and Brooke, Flora and Heloise brushed Buster.
Around 11:00 a.m, the second group had their riding lesson. This time, Heloise was with Zulu, Andrea with George and Emilie with Annie. While they were riding, Flora rode Buster in the round with Michelle, Ella and Appoline.
Finally, the third group had his riding lesson : Ella rode George, Marie rode Zulu and Laurine rode Rubix while the other girls were painting their horse shoes.
Around 1:30 p.m, we all went back home to eat lunch. We ate sandwiches and had some freetime. At 15:20p.m., we went downstairs. Marie, Laurine, Chloe and Flora had their English lesson with Grace while Andrea, Appoline, Heloise, Emilie and Ella were doing their project about the Olympic Games of 2020.
At 4:30 p.m, we had a snack and ate biscuits so we could go back to the stables. Laurine, Marie and Chloe had a second riding lesson for their galop 4 while the girls were continuing to paint their horse shoes. At 7:10 p.m, the girls got off their horses and we all cleaned and tidied the stables. Afterwards, we went back to the house.
We are now writing the blog while some of the girls are taking their showers.
We are looking to eat dinner because we will eat hamburgers !!!
Friday
Today, we woke up around 8:00 a.m. We all dressed up quickly and went downstairs to have breakfast. We went back upstairs and had some time to wash our teeth and prepare. Then, we got our trainers on and headed to the stables. The horses for the first lesson were already tacked up by Grace and Honorine. It was a jumping day ! Emilie rode George, Ella rode Zulu and Appoline rode Rubix. They started to walk and trot in the arena. Meanwhile, Chloe and Heloise brushed Rory, Laurine and Andrea brushed Jack and Swing, Marie and Flora brushed Brooke. Appoline started to do the course with Rubix, Emilie did it too and then Ella. For the second riding lesson, Marie rode Zulu and Rubix, Heloise rode Rubix and Andrea rode George. They all had a nice time. Before Flora’s lesson, Emilie and Appoline took her and Buster for a walk to the edge of the paddocks. During the third lesson, Laurine rode Swing and Chloe rode Jamie. We all have been filmed by Michelle for the blog. We also continued to paint our horseshoes and the girls who were leaving tomorrow finished theirs. We also fed the horses with Honorine. Afterwards, we went back to the house and ate lunch. We had our sandwiches, syrup and some biscuits. We had a little break and did a short English lesson. Then, we went to the lake, we went kayaking and paddling. Some of the girls had fun in the bouncy castles and the others played football with Jules, Ansel and Steeve. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to Heloise and we gave her a memory book that Grace and Michelle created and that we all signed. She was very happy about it but also sad about leaving us (and we were also sad). Chloe got stung by a bee under the foot but she is okay now. Then, we had dinner with everybody and played around the lake. Afterwards, We headed back to the house in the cars. Now, as usual, we are writing the blog while some of the girls are taking their showers.
