Summer Blog Week 1
Five days in a dreaming place
(Olympe, Anna and Thais)
Monday
Yesterday, we arrived at Michelle and Grace’s home. This morning we woke up at 8 am, and we got dressed. After that, we ate breakfast and we chose our sandwiches for lunch. We brush our teeth and we go to the stables to prepare the horses. We changed our shoes. Together we brushed Snow, Buster and Rubix, after that we prepared them for the horse-riding lesson. Thais rode Buster, Olympe rode Rubix and Anna rode Snow. We worked on serpentine on the trot with a change of direction, we also galoped and trotted, it was an amazing lesson for all of us. We washed them and we brushed the other ponies : Rory, Brooke, Jamie. We came back home for lunch and we ate delicious croque monsieur with chips . We went upstairs to chill in the bedroom, and we talked together. At 2 pm we had the english lesson with grace, it was more interesting than in high school. We ate snacks and we came back to the stables. We brushed a lot of horses, they were so cute. Anna took Brooke to the paddock with Matthias who took Snow. A little bit after, Thais took Buster and Olympe took Jamie, Matthias took Rory. We checked the level of the water in the paddocks and we washed the seats. Now we are doing the blog. We are going to take a shower and have dinner. And we are going to finish the movie “Mean Girls”. We went to sleep for another fantastic day.
Tuesday
We woke up at 8:30 am, we ate breakfast, it was good and we got dressed. We went to the stables. We made a jumping course with Mathias, Michelle and Grace, then we brushed all the ponies. We took a horseback ride. Thais rode swing,Anna rode Brooke and Olympe rode Buster. Swing was very excited and walked very fast. We had a lot of fun. While trotting Gabrielle was with us she rode Georges. We washed our ponies and the new horse arrived. His name is Zulu, he is wonderful ! We took a picture in front of the track. We came back home for lunch, we ate tomato salad, ham and cheese sandwiches, it was perfect. We went to the bedroom to chill and we called our parents. We had an English lesson with Grace. We ate snacks and we went to the swimming pool. The swimming pool is a little bit far but it is big, there are activities for everybody. We swam, played in the water and Anna did the slide. We bought M&M’S and strawberry candies before we came back home. In the car we listened to music and we spoke a little bit, the people we met were strange and funny. We wrote the blog together, Michelle cooked and we ate dinner. It was delicious like always. To finish this journey, we played Monopoly and we went to sleep.
Wednesday
We woke up at 9 am, we did a little morning fat,we ate breakfast and we got dressed like every morning. But today we started the day by English class with Grace. We learned the lyrics of “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran, it was very funny. After that we went to the stables and brushed all the ponies for the afternoon lessons : Thais brushed Buster, Anna brushed Brooke, Olympe brushed Swing and we brushed Jamie and Rory together. Matthias rode Zulu, for the first time since he arrived. We ate lunch, like monday we had croque-monsieur. We came back to the stables, where we painted horseshoes. We washed the brushes. We brushed horses : Olympe and Anna brushed Benson and Annie, Thais brushed Jack and Albert. Thais helped Matthias to look for Alf and Annie. We watched Lucien, who rode Zulu and Matthias, who rode Rubix, who were jumping. Olympe and Thais picked up the crottin. We came home, we had a shower, and we wrote a blog. We ate burgers. We watched the movie “Best enemies” because Grace was tired and tomorrow morning she went to school. After this incredible day we went to sleep.
Thursday
We woke up at 8: 30 am, after we ate breakfast and we got dressed. We went to the cadre noir with Michelle. We visited the stables, the roundabout and the horse career. We also learnt about the history of this place. It was really interesting. During the car trip Olympe and Thais slept and Anna answered her messages. When we came home, we ate lunch, the same sandwiches as on tuesday. We went to the stables to prepare the horses. Olympe rode Rubix, Anna rode Zulu and Thais rode Swing. Swing had a lot of energy ! So she went to the round of loin with Matthias to calm him down. We jumped. It was wonderful, all the horses were very cute. We washed Zulu with shampoo and Rubix too. Thais washed with water Swing. Then we left the stables, we had our english lesson, we learnt the horse body and the brushes. We made a blog, and we ate dinner. It was chicken creme with rice. We finished the Monopoly with Grace, we had showers and we went to sleep, to be in shape for tomorrow.
Friday
We woke up at 8:30 am. We were tired because yesterday we went to bed very late. We went to the kitchen to eat breakfast and we got dressed. We went to the stables for the horse riding lesson. We brushed all the ponies. We tried anti-fly blankets and masks on the horses for next week because the weather is gonna be very hot. We rode the same horses as yesterday and we jumped. Anna and Olympe rode together and Thais rode alone, for Olympe it was the best lesson. We brushed the horses and we left the stables to go eating. We ate different things, Olympe ate croque-monsieur, Anna ate cheese and ham sandwiches and Thais ate ham, cheese, salad and tomato sandwiches. Michelle is a very very good chef, she makes delicious dishes everyday. After we had the english lesson, we learnt the horse care basics and the equipment. We came back to the stables to brush other horses and Olympe and Anna tidied their tack. We came back home and we told in the blog our last day. We had a shower and we got dressed for the Italian restaurant. We were 7 and we had fun together. We came back home and we went to sleep. It was a very very very beautiful week, thank you Michelle and Grace for these unforget 5 days. Anna and Olympe don’t want to leave and Thais is sad to be alone next week but she knows that is gonna be really cool.
